Making Progress

These last couple of weeks have been very busy and I haven't had a whole lot of time to carve.  Sometimes like just works that way.

Tip from the Stump:  it's a good thing to carve a little bit each day, even if it's only for a few minutes.  You will be surprised at the amount of carving you will be able to get done even if you don't have the time to sit down and carve for hours.

Anyhow, I have made a little progress on my Sorcerer project, getting the bottom of the robes detailed, hands carved, and the arms roughed out and attached to the body.  Here's a look at where he stands at the present:

I hope to find some time this week to finish with this figure.  I plan to put him into a small scene with potions and spell casting stuff scattered around.  He should turn out pretty neat if things go the way I have envisioned.  I'll keep you posted on my progress and you can always follow along on the Carving Bench page with me.

Thanks for stopping by.

  1. I expect that as soon as this guy's head gets attached the spell that he is congering up will suddenly come blasting forth.

I suggest you stand to one side so as not to be the victim:-)

  2. I'm sure it will be something quite powerful and sinister as well.
